The Roamer company was founded in the form of small firm of a family contract 125 years ago. In 1888 the watchmaker Fritz Meyer in the Swiss city of Solothurn opened a workshop on assembly of cylindrical trigger regulators for producers of the mechanical clock. Fritz Meyer diligence led to business rapid growth, and the company with an initial number of 6 people soon began to total 60 employees. In several years the factory replaced narrow specialization with complex production of mechanisms and hours that allowed to increase significantly production and in 1904 the company began to issue more than half a million copies of hours.
In 1904 Fritz Meyer signs the agreement on cooperation with Johann Studeli. Partners create the new company "Meyer & Studeli Company". In 1906 the number of employees of the Meyer & Studeli Company company reaches four hundred people. Joint business moves to the new building where production of the well-known calibers of MST (Meyer & Studeli Time) with lever descent, demand for which was at that time very high, begins.
